Ripples and Reeds: A wetland family adventure at Seaton Wetlands

Join us on Saturday 25th April for a day at Seaton Wetlands dedicated to celebrating the Axe River. There will be so much fun to be had including Water Vole face painting, Sand Martin origami where you can help them migrate back from sub-Saharan Africa and visit the local stream to see the array of insects found in the bed. We’ll also be hosting local conservation bodies and provide free cakes and refreshments along the way!

There’s no better place for spotting wildlife than Seaton Wetlands on the Axe. If you visit bird hides, you’ll meet our friendly volunteers who can give you expert knowledge on the wildlife you see. Alternatively, get up close to the action by going to see the nest of sand martins in the sand bank.

  • The event will start at 11:00 am and finish at 15:00 pm.

  • All activities on the day are free and no booking is required. However, due to limited space, yoga must be booked.

Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there!
