In 2025 – 2026 the East Devon National Landscape Cranbrook Town Council to create a mindfulness trail to encourage local residents and visitors to connect with nature.

To create and install a Mindfulness Trail in Cranbrook Country Park for users to enjoy and benefit from.

Total Project Cost: £1360

East Devon National Landscape Grant Awarded: £816 (60% of total project)

Cash Funding: £544 (Cranbrook Town Council)

The project will provide another activity to the Country Park for the users to enjoy. This in turn will bring further audiences and users to the park as well. One key example of this is through the Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership who have already scheduled to bring groups via train for a wellbeing walk in the park which will follow and focus on the trail.

This first group will be for elderly people with dementia. The trail will also benefit those struggling with mental health and provide good steps of practice to help improve.

It would have been beneficial to have agreed a completion date with designers and printers at the beginning as it took longer than it should have to complete.
