Soak up the tranquillity of one of the most remote parts of the National Landscape, Farway Valley.
East-West: Stage 4: Sidbury to Aylesbeare Common (7.5miles) Climb to East Hill and Fire Beacon LNR and enjoy the views before dropping down to the river Otter and on to the heathland expanses of Aylesbeare. Maybe a short detour to Newton Poppleford for refreshments?

By car: Start/End: Free car park behind Sidbury Parish rooms(EX10 0SN), signed from village centre. End/Start: Parking possible but not recommended for large groups in Church Green/Farway. There is car parking nearby at either the Knapp Copse Local Nature Reserve (EX10 0QG) or limited parking at Forestry Commission site at Money Acre Cross.
